Cancellation occurs when the student cancels their contract prior to or on the first day of enrollment. The student can cancel their enrollment without penalty up to and including the first day of instruction for each semester/quarter. The student must cancel in writing by submitting a cancellation form to the institution’s office. A refund will be calculated and sent to the student within 30 days.

The student has a right to drop or withdraw from any course during any semester/quarter up to the 60% completion point of the semester and receive a pro-rata refund of tuition paid for that course but not received. If the student withdraws after the 60% point, no refund will be paid or calculated. If a student wishes to withdraw or drop, the student must notify the registrar’s office of their intent to withdraw. A refund will be calculated and the student will be notified within 30 days of dropping or withdrawing. The institution has a right to retain a non-refundable registration fee of $100 during the semester. Please see the schedule of charges for a list of fees that are non-refundable.

This refund example is based upon a student dropping a 3-credit course for a quarter/semester with a total tuition charge of $90 per unit or $270 for the course and the course offered for 10/15 weeks and the student dropping at the midpoint or 50% completion point of the course.

$270 tuition paid for the course X 8weeks/16 weeks in the semester = $135 refund due for the course.

The student paid $150 for the course on the total due of $270 for the course. To determine the refund, subtract the refund due of $135 from $150 paid for the course and this equals the amount due to the student or $25 due on a refund for the 3-semester unit course. If the amount is a negative number after subtracting the refund due from the total paid, then is the amount the student still owes for the course program.
